Elizabeth visits the ER

Our extra hour of sleep last night was spent in the ER with Lizzie. Carson started the trail of sickness that has been haunting our house, a cold. It quickly spread to Gabe who then gave it to Lizzie (my years of building up a immune system working around kids has payed off, I am still healthy). Our poor baby woke up last night with a fever of 101.5, we were told by our pediatrician to freak out with a fever 100.5 or higher when they are so young.

We quickly called our pediatrician's office where they have a nurse on call, and they told us to take her to the ER. So, we spent a few quality hours in the middle of the night at Children's Hospital to have a nurse give her Tylenol and the doctor tell us she has a cold. We asked ourselves why they couldn't tell us to give her Tylenol over the phone, but better safe than sorry.

You would think that with kid number 2 we wouldn't jump the gun, but when you have a little helpless baby you can't help but freak! Let's hope this is the last trip to the ER for a VERY long time!

Halloween 2010

It's been a while since a post, but it's not for lack of things going on! We've had quite a few visitors in the last month or so, plus Carson and I took the camper out for one last spin this past weekend before coming home and doing the Halloween thing on Sunday night.

Some friends and family came over for pizza and trick-or-treating, and Aunt Laura bought Lizzie a bunny costume (I think...). She hated it. There's only a few pictures of her in it because she screamed the entire time. Carson dressed up as a fireman and loved every minute of walking around getting candy. We also had fun hooking up a wagon to the riding lawnmower and dragging the kids around the back yard.

Here's the pictures. Anyone not a fireman or a crying baby is not one of ours :)
